Budapest ZOO
Honestly, we are not a fan of the zoos and especially the Budapest ZOO. To me, the animals (especially the Lion) are sad there. This zoo is located right in the city centre. You can imagine in the Budapest city centre and how much space it could possibly have to accommodate the animals like elephants and giraffe. Besides, these animals are not really in a natural habitat. Hate to say the animals are unhappy there, but you can witness it for yourself. For me, I prefer to see the animals in the farm who are care for by their owners as pets, usually you can find them in the suburbs, countryside or villages. The other small zoo is at Margaret Island (some small animals like deers).

The BEST Lángos ever.
If you are in Budapest, you MUST try the Best Lángos ever ;)
My chef friend did. And never regretted it. Lángos tells the story of how the people in the old days satisfy their energy requirement. It is rather a heavy food as it is dough and deep fried in oil. Topped with grated cheese and tejfol (the hungarian sour cream), some garlic and salt. Marvellously delicious - a food that is so missed in the summer.
Weigh watchers Beware:
This is recommended for you to try ONCE if you are visiting Budapest. Even better, share it with a friend as the portion can be quite huge :) or at least the calories count can be quite high!
Budapest Opera House
Opera House, Budapest, Hungary
The Opera is one of the most significant 19th century historic buildings in Budapest, together with the National Museum and the Vigadó. Its architect, Miklós Ybl did not use the square form developed by Gottfried Semper as a reference (a hall around the auditorium), otherwise regarded a standard, but he was taking into consideration the capacities of the site, he looked at the Parisian Opera as an example, where there are ornamental stairs placed at the axis of the auditorium.
